FALL CLASSIC WIFFLEBALL TOURNAMENT AND HOME RUN DERBY

After a break in the action last fall, we are back to the in-person Fall Classic Wiffle Ball Tournament! We are so excited to be hosting the Fall Classic this September, Sunday the 19th, on Tower Fields at Gilman School. All participants will receive the annual athletic t-shirt. We will also be selling snacks, drinks, baked goods, hamburgers, and hot-dogs at the food-stand. The tournament consists of 3-4 games, and then a championship in each age division, with a trophy given to all the winners! Following the action, we will also hold the annual home-run derby with special prizes for each age division. The last winner received an autographed MLB baseball bat, stay tuned to learn about this year’s prizes!
The sign-up link is here.
Teams are made up of 7-10 players, but if you do not know everyone at the time of signup, that is okay. You must make sure that you are within a year or two of your teammates so that you’re placed in a fair age group. ** If a player’s sign-up is for the 7-8 year old division you must also select, and name a parent-coach to help organize and lead the youngest players.**
The Roland Park Baseball Leagues Fall Classic Wiffle Ball Tournament is a charity event that supports Baltimore City Public School athletic programs. In the past we have had over a hundred participants and raised over $34,000 for Patterson High’s Baseball and Softball programs, as well as Carver Vo-Tech’s Baseball, Softball, and Lacrosse programs.
This year, one major endeavor will be providing a storage container for Carver Vo-Tech’s Baseball Team. They have to make a 6 mile commute to their field, and being able to leave some gear in a sturdy, locked, storage container will be a huge upgrade for them. Providing this, along with the other basic team needs for all of the programs, like baseballs, cleats, snacks, team shirts, gloves, catchers gear, and other provided season-long upgrades, will be the mission of this year’s fall classic.
